Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 27, 2026
CareerSignal (“we”, “our”, the “Service”) is a career visibility analysis tool operated by RP HORIZON LIVE MARKETING LTDA - ME. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. RP HORIZON LIVE MARKETING LTDA - ME is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly. When you use CareerSignal, you may provide:
- Professional profile information — such as your LinkedIn profile text, resume, or CV — that you paste or upload so we can generate your Career Score analysis.
- Answers to the diagnostic questionnaire about your career goals and experience.
- Contact information such as your name and email address, when you provide them (for example, to receive results or support).
- Messages you send us when requesting support.
Technical and usage data. We may automatically collect device and browser information, IP address, pages visited, interactions with the Service, and approximate location derived from your IP address, to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record for CareerSignal purchases. CareerSignal does not directly collect, process, or store your full payment card details. Paddle processes payment data under its own terms and privacy policy, and shares with us only the information needed to confirm your purchase (such as transaction status and order references).
2. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Generate your Career Score analysis, insights, and recommendations;
- Provide, maintain, and secure the Service, including fraud and abuse prevention;
- Deliver purchased PRO content and confirm your payment status;
- Respond to your requests and provide customer support;
- Improve the quality and relevance of our analysis engine;
- Measure and improve our marketing, where permitted and where you have consented when required.
Our legal bases for processing include performance of the contract with you (providing the analysis you requested), our legitimate interests (security, product improvement, fraud prevention), your consent (optional analytics and advertising cookies), and compliance with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting records related to purchases).
3. AI-assisted analysis
To produce your Career Score, the professional profile information you provide may be processed by automated systems, including large language model services acting as our processors. This processing exists solely to generate your analysis. We do not use your profile information to publicly display it, sell it, or make it available to other users.
4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies in three categories:
- Essential — required for the Service to function (for example, remembering your session and consent choices).
- Analytics — help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
- Marketing — such as the Meta Pixel, used to measure advertising performance and attribute conversions.
Where required by law (including in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), non-essential cookies and marketing trackers are only activated after you give consent through our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.
5. Who we share information with
We share personal data only with the categories of recipients needed to operate:
- Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record, for processing payments, subscription-free order management, invoicing, tax compliance, and refund handling;
- Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, infrastructure, error monitoring, and support tooling providers that process data on our behalf under contract;
- AI processing providers — to generate your analysis, as described above;
- Analytics and advertising partners — such as Meta, only where tracking is permitted or consented to;
- Professional advisers and authorities — where required for legal, accounting, or compliance reasons.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Analysis data you generate is kept so you can return to your results. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. You may request deletion at any time as described below.
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, token-based access to analysis results, and least-privilege access within our systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, and loss.
8. International transfers
We operate primarily for a United States audience, but our service providers may process data in other countries. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions where required.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or export it; to restrict or object to certain processing; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and to complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at rafa_porto@hotmail.com.br. We respond to verified requests within one month where required by law.
10. Children
CareerSignal is intended for professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
